Winston-Salem is a highly populated city in North Carolina with many businesses and residential areas that depend on reliable auto repairs. A handy auto repair shop that welcomes BMW owners from Winston-Salem and surrounding areas is Carmine's Import Service.
Carmine's Import Service is a repair shop at Kernersville that focuses on long-term trust. The main idea when founding the shop was to provide a specialized service for European and Asian car makes that are often rare to find. Of course, our specialization stretches to domestic vehicles too. When repairing any BMW type, we try to raise the bar for customer education and transparency.
We strongly believe that informed customers can communicate their needs more clearly and make decisions with better confidence. This type of customer confidence is a bond-strengthening factor that we believe helps build long-term relationships. That's why we photograph and film the BMW during our inspections, circling, indicating, adding text, and editing the footage later to make it intuitive and well-explained. Then, we send it to the customer, leaving open room for any clarification. Providing better control to customers helps us to act exactly how the BMW owner wants the service to be while offering our technical and professional knowledge. Trust is at the top of our list.
Here are some of the BMW auto repair services we've been doing for Winston-Salem car owners for years:
Our many years of experience with Winston-Salem's climate and roads strengthened our intuition when dealing with BMW problems in the area. We service many BMWs showing symptoms we're familiar with that are commonly expected during certain seasons. So, some issues end up being quick to find. We also know to check if tires, suspension, brakes, etc., are in tip-top shape to keep your car preserved in the area.
We have certification to prove we deliver comprehensive BMW services that meet specific standards. For instance, our technicians are ASE-certified and our advisors are AMI-accredited, meaning they're trained to test, inspect, and repair your vehicle, even on any BMW series cars. Our shop also earned certification due to our level of transparency and customer service. For example, our AutoTechIQ certification means we provide informational pictures and videos of vehicle inspections, making them highly educational and answering all customer doubts. The best BMW service can make car owners confident
Winston-Salem is the fifth most populated city in North Carolina with around two hundred thousand residents. So, you'll see a bit of traffic depending on the areas you drive. Nevertheless, the city's urban planning makes traffic seem light, offering wide roads, a good number of lanes, and overall fluidity. Let's see a few things to look for when driving around the area:
Winston-Salem's climate varies from cool winters and warm, humid summers. The year-round temperature stays between 32°F to 87°F. Therefore, it's good to check the outside climate before driving, to ensure your wheels, cooling system, heater, and A/C are properly working. Automobile maintenance neglect during cold weather can result in engine performance issues, a restricted fuel injector, etc.
Winston-Salem can become packed during rush hour. Although the roads are wide and have plenty of lanes, the number of cars around 5 pm can be a bit much depending on where you're driving. For instance, leaving Greensboro and heading on 40 West during rush hours might be a toss-up. However, from Clemmons to Winston at the same time is usually lighter. So, it also depends on the area you're passing. Still, in general, 40 West can get specifically condensed.
Winston-Salem has specific neighborhoods that will always have more traffic than others. Some areas are commercial like Downtown Winston-Salem, which means a bit more cars than usual while other areas, like Ardmore, are residential with less traffic.
Long-distance travel means you might drive through Freeways with more cars or neighborhoods with various businesses. So, consider the distance you'll be driving and where you'll be passing. Also, check for auto repair shops in the areas inside your route in case of emergencies.
Overall, driving around Winston-Salem should be pleasant. You'll find it quick to spot parking and navigate through the many lanes most local roads have.

I needed my Tesla to be looked at for a squeaky noise. Tesla service center did not have an appointment for at least 41 days Max at Carmines was able to get me scheduled within a day or two. Drop off was easy and they even given me a ride back. However I did not go through getting the car fixed as the estimate was almost 8 times more than what Tesla quoted. I was willing to pay a little more but not that much. I decided instead to wait it out for the Tesla service appt. Max was very professional about my decision. All in all great experience. I will go back if the price was right.
