These regular checks pinpoint repairs that can boost your vehicle's efficiency and cut down on harmful emissions.

Our Emissions Inspection Approach

At Carmine's Import Service, we conduct detailed emissions inspections using cutting-edge diagnostic equipment. Our certified technicians are trained to precisely measure your vehicle's emissions and pinpoint any compliance issues with state and federal regulations.

Emissions Inspection Checklist

Exhaust System Evaluation

We meticulously examine your vehicle's exhaust system for any leaks or faults that could impact emissions.

Emissions Control Systems Checks

We check your vehicle's emissions control mechanisms, such as the catalytic converter and evaporative emissions system, to ensure they are functioning effectively.

Onboard Diagnostics (OBD) Analysis

We perform an OBD test to confirm that your vehicle's computer system is operational and accurately identifying emissions problems.

Common Reasons for Failing an Emissions Test

Vehicles often fail emissions tests due to issues like defective oxygen sensors, catalytic converter problems, or faults in the evaporative emission control system. At Carmine's Import Service, we specialize in diagnosing and fixing these problems efficiently.

How to Prepare for Your Emissions Inspection

To ready your vehicle for an emissions test, ensure it is well-maintained and the check engine light is off. Driving for about 30 minutes prior to the test can warm the engine to the optimal temperature, potentially enhancing the outcome.

I needed my Tesla to be looked at for a squeaky noise. Tesla service center did not have an appointment for at least 41 days Max at Carmines was able to get me scheduled within a day or two. Drop off was easy and they even given me a ride back. However I did not go through getting the car fixed as the estimate was almost 8 times more than what Tesla quoted. I was willing to pay a little more but not that much. I decided instead to wait it out for the Tesla service appt. Max was very professional about my decision. All in all great experience. I will go back if the price was right.
