Keeping a car running longer at peak levels requires both expertise and expense. Twice in the last year I have taken cars to Carmines after others had fallen short of the mark. That's when the expertise comes in. Schedule your service on their website at a time convenient for you. Then Stuart and Dillon will take it from there. ***Update*** I e-mailed Stuart about an issue with my tilt steering wheel and he "fixed" it with his reply! Most places without experienced expertise: make an appt., bring in, diagnose, etc. etc.

Carmine’s was recommended to me and I have the pleasure to recommend them to you. This is a first-class committed service company. I called late one afternoon and got someone on the second ring. (A real person almost always answers the phone.) Stuart and a senior tech, took flat bed delivery of my BMW X5. My two college-age kids drove the wheels off for six years. It wouldn’t start. If I put it in reverse, the car reverted back to Park. The electrical system was a mess. Literally, nothing worked. Over the next three days, Carmine’s tested and re-tested every system. They ran deep diagnostics. The culprit was an alternator and water pump and a few minor codes. The old saying “you get what you pay for” could not be more true, in this case. The final bill was a lot of money but it wasn’t expensive. I was fairly charged for all of the parts and labor. But above all that, we have our car back. Good as new. It runs like the first day I got it. Stuart had the car cleaned and vacuumed before delivery. He even followed several times after I picked it up. This is a special outfit that takes pride in their work and their reputation. It was most certainly earned on my service call. You can trust Carmine’s to service your special car like it was their own.

Brought in my 2023 Model 3 Performance to get Unplugged Performance lowering springs installed. Carmine's did an absolutely fantastic job. Dropped the vehicle off first thing in the morning, was done by late afternoon. They installed the new springs, repackaged the old ones, measured the drop, gave it an alignment, washed the car, and had it waiting out front for me when I came to pick it up. Even left some goodies in the front console for me as well. Spoke to a few guys inside about their experience putting performance parts on Tesla's, and everyone was very knowledgable and seemed to have lots of experience. Super kind people. Actually got a hand written Christmas card in the mail from them over the holidays. Was not the cheapest option, and wasn't a short drive coming from the Raleigh area either - but cannot imagine getting service even remotely close to as good as what Carmine's provided anywhere else. If you're going to get any work done to your vehicle and want it in good hands, bring it here. These guys know what's up. Will absolutely be back.

We had taken out RR Evoque to several places before going to Carmine's to get a few things fixed. No one would touch it, or they said they could fix it but ended up wasting our money. I own a Mercedes Cabriolet. It is a 2017 with 78,000 miles. When the engine light came on, my first thought was to take it to the Mercedes Benz dealer. That was a bad decision. After their diagnostics, they said I needed a new $34,000 engine. This was more than the car was valued at. I called Stuart at Carmine's and he made arrangement to have her towed and run their diagnostics. I am so thankful he did. They ran their own diagnostics and found my issue did not require a new engine. They emailed me the repairs. I had Mercedes send with them their diagnostics. Carmine ran an additional diagnostic and I did not need a new engine. They advised of the repairs, emailed me the report and cost. Lets just say there was almost a $30,000 savings. The car runs perfectly now. I had also complained to Mercedes about my brakes. They advised revisit on the next maintenance. Carmine found the issue , repaired and the problem is no longer there. I will never go back to the dealership for my Mercedes care. Stuart was in constant contact with me, listened to my concerns and was very patient. Our car is running beautifully. I did not have to sell her for parts which Mercedes had suggested. I have already referred a client to them and my husband will be turning over his car care to them. They brought my car back to me and the professionalism and concern for their client was obvious. Thank you for all you have done.

My first experience. I brought my 2019 Mini Cooper jcw in to get it checked out. It had only 5,000 miles and there was a problem with the aftermarket pig tail boost. They contacted the company and got it covered under warranty and got an new unit installed . They did not charge me. I was thrilled. Unfortunately the after market part did not work properly and I asked them to take it off and replace it with another part as well as getting a downpipe installed. Well they didn't fix my car , but I am not upset. I took a mini cooper in to get a new Key. This car has the electronic key fob which has to be programmed. I own a small garage that deals with only vintage cars, I am able to do most work but I do not have the capabilities to do modern car electronics that interface with the CAN-BUS system, so I went looking for a garage that could. Carmines thought they could. I brought the car in and there was a delay so they gave me a loaner car and told me they would exchange cars once it was done. I explained that I lived 40 miles away and they said that would be OK. After a day they called and explained that there computer system just was not communicating with the car and they could not program it and did not want to cause more issues. I actually appreciate the honesty. Why 4 stars instead of 3 or 5? Well they didn't fix the car and I originally had the car scheduled for Jan 6th and did not find out until lunch that the new key fob had not arrived, and the same thing happened on the 14th, but they did give me the loaner at this point. My suggestion to them is to always ensure you have the part in hand. That is my only gripe. On the plus side they were extremely courteous and worked to solve my transportation problems, and having run a shop I can tell they are a decent shop. If you have a modern car, particularly a German car I would not have a problem recommending them. Kevin

Fresh from NYC and never having owned a car, I thought a 1984 BMW would be fun. To give you an idea of where things stood, the car wouldn't start once so I went looking for the choke to unfreeze it. Enter Carmine's. They have handled every mechanical issue impeccably. The car is in better shape now than when I got it. And they never, ever took advantage of my ignorance. Instead, they explained what needed to be done, made sure I understood it, laid out alternatives, and let me decide. My car is in better shape, and I know much more about cars, than when I first went to see them. Recently I was in there and Carmine was firmly advising a car owner to be clear about his longterm plans for his car before he started paying to track down and fix an intermittent problem. They're not cheap; you pay an appropriate amount for the quality of work and never worry about being had. The only glitch I can think of is a time when they were working on my car and I recommended them to my boss. Naturally, that was the time that, I don't remember why, repairs dragged on and on and every day I'd show up to work in their loaner. My boss got sarcastic and I got embarrassed. Carmine handled the problem personally and all was resolved. Terrific work; reasonable charges; up-to-date loaners; outstanding customer service geared to your particular needs (shuttle, pick up, etc.) from people you'll enjoy knowing. Total integrity. A super high end experience for regular people.

The dealership where I purchased my Range Rover gave me a warranty with the purchase...however, after over a week of trying to take advantage of that warranty when I had an issue, I searched for reputable repair shops for Land Rovers and found Carmines. They had me bring my vehicle in the same day that I called. I had it there about 15 minutes before they closed and they had it diagnosed about 15 minutes after they closed. I had a detailed estimate the next morning and picked my vehicle up that afternoon....repaired and in time to drive it for the 4 hours that I needed to. They were completely professional, gave my daughter cookies and a soda on the day I brought it in and when I picked it up....it was washed, with a bottle of water waiting in my cup holder and a mint hanging from my rear view mirror. I would definitely recommend them... and I can tell that a woman is part of the customer satisfaction team!

I just wanted the M3 back sooner, but nonetheless I will be bringing my Z4 in for service as well. It's good to find a high-quality, independent service shop for my BMWs. Update: Ok - I'm changing this to 5 stars. After the driving the M for a few weeks I definitely notice that the motor is running MUCH smoother than before. I took my mother in laws 2012 BMW 128 to Carmine's for something called a faulty speed sensor. Crown BMW had quoted me somewhere between 700-1200 dollars. My mother in law is on a very limited budget and to me that seemed outrageous. I took the car into Carmine's and they tested the speed sensor and did agree that it was faulty. Dillion quoted me 390 dollars for the repair. He ordered the part and I took the car back to them 2 days later. They had a loaner car for me to drive and the car was fixed in 4 hours (Crown had no loaners for two weeks and said it would be a 2 day fix). Finally I picked up the car, it was fixed, cleaned and ready to go. My final bill was 335. Less than the quote I had originally gotten from Dillon. I asked why it was lower and he replied that the repair did not take as long as they anticipated so they did not charge me. I challenge anyone to find any car repair place with that type of integrity. If you take your European car anywhere else you are not being smart with your time of money.

very efficient, quoted all charges before performing any work. Easy to approve estimate via email. Only complaint is I didn't realize until 10 minutes down the road a low coolant light was on which was new. Had to return the following week to have this corrected. would return again though

Carmine's Import is a great place to get your imports serviced. Everyone is so knowledgable,honest and helpful. Their expertise and ability of explaining all the work that was done is very detailed and appreciated. It's very different from many Auto repair establishments because every time you speak with a person at Carmines they all have the knowledge to answer all your questions concerning your automobile, unlike some places that have to go back to the people servicing the car. Late July was my second trip to Carmine's since moving to Kernersville in 2011. Carmine and his crew were able to diagnose a very vexing problem on my car and gave me a fair price for the repair. Luckily, I was "first-in-line" that day for the use of a service loaner for the duration of my repair ... a unique feature that smaller, independent shops can't always provide. Carmine's obviously can't give all of their clients a loaner car, but they /do/ offer a work shuttle to Winston-Salem and Greensboro. I'll trust them with the care of my 120,000-mile VW from here on out.

Was having issues with the A/C compressor on my '98 Beetle TDI. Carmine pulled it and replaced it under the 2 year warranty provided. No questions asked. When the replacement unit started having issues, he pulled that one and replaced with an OEM compressor and thoroughly tested the unit to make sure of no further issues. I have a 1988 VW Cabriolet and after taking it to several chain repair shops where I was told "we don't know anything about your car" I discovered Carmine's. They have truly been a Godsend! The staff are always friendly and helpful and it's nice to actually have a repair shop where the owner actually takes an interest in repairing your car and making sure you're happy with the service. My experience at Carmine's Import Service was excellent. I own a 1999 Volvo V70 and I had been looking for a reliable, dependable and reasonably priced repair shop for my Volvo for sometime now. I saw and read the reviews for Carmines and decided to give him a try. My Volvo had many issues with it. Check engine light and occasionally the ETS would come on and the Car would sometimes would not start and acted like the engine was flooded. I had done as much as I could in trying to resolve any problems but, to no success. First of all if your going to own a European car it can be very expensive to get it fixed. You can save money by doing many things your self. But, you will need a good, reliable, reasonable, auto mechanic. Carmine did a thorough inspection of my car and supplied me with a detailed quote on everything that needed fixing. The total for getting the car fixed was quoted at $1200.00. Yes it was going to be expensive but it was about six items that needed fixing and two items where semi major repairs.(Safety related) The remaining items needing repair where needed to get the check engine light out so I could get the car inspected. So I scheduled the repair and he did the work he said he would do and my car was ready when he said it would be ready. The final bill was a $100 less than the quote. Carmine has done some other work since then on my car that I won't go into but he did a good job and went above and beyond to make me happy and save me a little money. So I would recommend his repair shop to anyone. Excellent!

I've been taking my '06 Volvo to Carmine's for service for the last 18 months. They have a great small town feel (they know me by name), and are very knowledgeable and customer-focused. I've always been pleased with the work they have done. They always provide estimates in advance, and are very upfront about the cost of work that they provide. I've never felt like they added on services or repairs that I didn't need -- they have actually directed me away from services I thought I needed but didn't. Carmine's actually makes taking my car in for maintenance a little less dreadful.

Their waiting area is equipped with free WIFI and drinks, so I can relax, have a cup of coffee and browse the web while I wait. They never take that long to finish up the job, either. I took my car in for a front brake job and to get new tires. While I was there I mentioned to Carmine that my emergency brake wasnt working. He and his staff looked at it and let me know that the rear brake calipers were not adjusted correctly and that is why it wasnt working. Instead of charging me labor to fix it he suggested I take it to my dealer and let them do it for free since it is still under warranty and it was the dealer's mistake anyways. Not many mechanics would do that, they would just go for the quick buck. Nice to see some people still have common decency. Carmine just got a customer for life.
